Cake gets eaten in five minutes. A Toast Tower takes thirty — that's how long the conversation around it lasts. Bread instead of sponge means the structure holds while ice cream melts into it. The result is a dessert that's also a centerpiece, also a photo, also a reason for a table to slow down. That's why we stuck with toast.
